[48.11] The Nature Of Optically Invisible Radio Sources In The NOAO Deep Wide Field In Boötes

A small fraction of faint radio sources discovered in interferometric surveys do not have optical counterparts. These objects may represent dust enshrouded starbursts or AGN at large redshifts, making the determination of their power source important for a clear understanding of the luminosity evolution of the high-z universe. We obtained a deep 20cm map of a 0.7 deg2 subregion of the NDWF in Boötes using the VLA in A-configuration to locate optically-invisible radio sources. Using our survey of this region by the Spitzer Space Telescope (MIPS 24 um) and Chandra, we examine the radio, infrared, and X-ray properties of this population, and discuss to what extent these objects are dominated by starbursts or AGN.
