The depth (~26 mag) and large contiguous areas (~ 2 x 9 deg2) covered by the NOAO Deep Wide-Field Survey provide an unprecedented opportunity to study the evolution and large-scale spatial distribution of galaxy samples over a large range in redshift. In this talk I will review our studies of two populations, the z~3.7 star-forming galaxies and the z~1 red galaxy population, and discuss their global properties, spatial distribution and evolution.
