The high solar activity during the last weeks of October and beginning of November 2003 with 11 X-class flares provides a great opportunity to study particle acceleration in flares. Recent results of multi-spacecraft and ground-based observations are summarized with a focus on X-ray observations from the Reuven Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI).
