It has been shown that it is possible to exploit the frozen flow hypothesis of atmospheric turbulence to measure the velocity of one or more layers of atmospheric turbulence. It is then possible to use the measured layer velocities, along with a few frames of WFS data, to solve for the contribution to the wave front gradient due to each layer of turbulence above the aperture. We have tested this technique on simulated multiple layer turbulence and present the results here. This technique is incorporated in a wave front gradient predictor based on the frozen flow hypothesis.
