We present first results of the Large VLA HI Survey of
Nearby Galaxies (LVSG), the largest program ever undertaken
at the VLA to perform 21-cm HI observations of the highest
quality (~6'', <5 km s-1 resolution) of nearby
galaxies. The goal of LVSG is to investigate key
characteristics related to galaxy morphology and mass
distribution across the Hubble sequence. A sample of 36
