We discuss new imaging polarimetry of the M87, 3C 264 and 3C 78 jets, done with both the HST and VLA. The three jets have very different polarization morphologies, and also have varying degrees of similarity between their radio and optical polarimetry. At one extreme, M87's jet shows strong rotations of the magnetic field in knots and large differences between radio and optical polarimetry as well; while at the other extreme, 3C 264's jet is less knotty and shows a more constant polarization morphology in both optical and radio. We interpret this as varying levels of stratification within the three jets, perhaps related to the presence or lack of knots that accelerate high-energy particles in the jet.
