[43.06] Spectroscopic Confirmation of faint galaxies at z=4-7 in the Hubble Ultra Deep Field

S. Malhotra, J. Rhoads, N. Pirzkal, C. Xu (STScI), H.J. Yan (IPAC), H. Ferguson, M. Stiavelli (STScI), R. Windhorst (Arizona State University), GRAPES Collaboration

We report on spectroscopic confirmation of redshift 4 to 7 galaxies based on the deep unbiased spectroscopy with the ACS grism. Unbiased spectroscopy was obtained for the Hubble Ultra Deep Field obtained by the GRAPES project (Xu et al. this meeting).

We use our the spectroscopically confirmed sample to constrain the luminosity functions, star formation rate density, and ionizing photon budget for galaxies at redshift z=4-7, near the end of the reionization epoch.
