We searched for infrared excess emission from debris disks around main-sequence stars observed with Spitzer in the Galactic First Look Survey. The spectral energy distributions of observed main-sequence stars were constructed from 2MASS J, H, Ks, IRAC 3.6, 4.5, 5.8, 8.0 \mum, and MIPS 24 \mum photometry. We report on the frequency of occurrence of infrared excess emission at 24 \mum, likely an indicator of the Vega phenomenon or the presence of circumstellar dust at temperatures of ~ 100 K or higher. We also searched for much hotter dust, at temperatures at or above those of terrestrial material, emitting at the IRAC wavelengths. This hotter dust was a particular challenge for Spitzer, as its occurrence is extremely rare and its emission peaks at 10 \mum, where our survey has no data.

This work is based on observations made with the Spitzer Space Telescope, which is operated by JPL, Caltech under NASA contract 1407.
