[6.14] Flaring Cycles in \beta Per and V711 Tau from Circularly Polarized Data

M. T. Richards, M. L. Rogers (Penn State University)

Circularly polarized data of \beta Per and V711 Tau collected over 5 years have been analyzed to determine the flaring cycles in these systems. These data were collected with the Green Bank Interferometer continuously from 1995 January to 2000 October. The right- and left-circularized radio fluxes at 2.3 GHz and 8.3 GHz were analyzed as well as the percent polarization at each frequency. The results have been compared with the flaring periodicities of 49 days and 120 days derived from the average of the circularly polarized data of \beta Per and V711 Tau, respectively.
