We will present early results from our Spitzer 24 and 70 micron photometric surveys for excess emission from dust in A-type star, and F-type binary, systems. The full sample of 111 A stars was selected to span the age range from 1 - 1000 Ma. The full sample of 71 binary stars was selected to span physical separations of 0 - 70 AU, and to have mass ratios from approximately 1-2. Roughly 1/4 of each sample will have been observed and the data processed, providing an initial disk-detection rate for the studies. We will give detailed results and initial models for a few of the brighter disks. We will also summarize our 870 micron survey of some of the targets in these samples, which has been conducted at the 10m Heinrich-Herz Submillimeter Telescope on Mt. Graham, Arizona.

Support for this work was provided by NASA through Contract Number 960785 issued by JPL/Caltech.
