Society Banquet

Special Event, Wednesday, June 2, 2004, 7:00-10:30pm, Denver Museum of Nature and Science

Banquet tickets ($40) include a full-course dinner, plus free admission to the exhibits and a Planetarium show. The museum includes the new Space Odyssey “hands-on” exhibits, latest displays about Mars, and the newly renovated Gates planetarium. The evening will start with a reception/cash bar (7:00 pm) in the West Atrium, with splendid views of the Rockies, followed by dinner (8:00 pm), presentation of awards, and a choice of a Planetarium show at either 9:30 or 10:00 pm.

The 2004 Van Biesbroeck Award will be presented to Rodger Doxsey, and the 2004 Joseph Weber Award will be presented to Thomas Phillips during the Banquet.

Salad
House salads and spinach salads will be alternated on all the tables.

Chicken Breast ($40)
Stuffed with artichoke & goat cheese, with parmesan wild rice pilaf, vegetable and roasted tomato coulis.
or
Vegetarian Medley ($40)
Balsamic-roasted portabella medley, served in a creamy red-pepper polenta bowl.
or
Fish Entree ($40)
Salmon filet herbed baked with tarragon cream sauce, wild rice pilaf and vegetable.

Baskets of rolls and butter.
Freshly brewed regular and decaffinated coffee, herbal teas and milk.
A cash bar will be available.

Desserts
Choice of NY style cheesecake, chocolate cake, lemon cake or fruit.
(no nuts in any dessert)

Buses will be departing every 10 minutes starting at 6:30pm for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the location of the society banquet. They will be picking people up at the Hyatt Regency, the Marriott City Center and the Convention Center. The return trips will start from the museum at 9:00pm and will make stops at the Hyatt and the Marriott.
