RXTE and XMM X-ray timing studies of supermassive Seyfert galaxy black holes have revealed variability characteristics which are remarkably similar to those of stellar-mass X-ray Binaries. I will review the timing characteristics common to both classes of accreting compact systems and present new, additional data. These similarities include power spectral density characteristics and the relation between black hole mass and X-ray variability time scales, the rms-flux relation, and energy-dependent properties such as high-frequency power spectral density shapes and frequency-dependent intra-X-ray lags. Establishing such links provides constraints on variability models, suggesting identical physical processes in both types of accreting black holes systems spanning 6--7 orders of magnitude in black hole mass. I will also briefly discuss how intermediate mass black hole candidates (e.g., ULXs) fit into the scheme.
