[26.07] Timing Analysis of Light Curves from the Tartarus AGN database

P.M. O'Neill, K. Nandra (Imperial College, UK), I.E. Papadakis (U. Crete and IESL, Greece), T.J. Turner (LHEA, NASA GSFC and UMBC)

We have updated the Tartarus database of ASCA observations of active galactic nuclei. Tartarus Version 3 contains products for 375 AGN, with a total of 614 observing sequences. We present the available variability information for all the objects in the Tartarus database, including a detailed analysis of a subset of objects for which we can quantify the variations, and compare them to other source properties. Correlations with e.g., mass, accretion rate, optical spectral properties and radio loudness will be presented, and we discuss the implications for the accretion process in AGN.

PMO acknowledges financial support from PPARC. This research has made use of the TARTARUS database, which is supported by Jane Turner and Kirpal Nandra under NASA grants NAG5-7385 and NAG5-7067.
