We present preliminary results from Chandra and XMM-Newton observations of a sample of low-redshift (z < 0.1) 3CRR radio galaxies. We discuss the correlation between the core X-ray, optical, and radio luminosities, and consider whether the X-ray emission originates from the base of a relativistic jet, an accretion flow, or contains contributions from both. Deep observations of some individual sources elucidate our conclusions for the sample.
