The Deep Impact mission will be launched at the end of the year and will impact comet 9P/Tempel 1 on July 4th, 2005. The payload includes a 1.0 to 4.8 micron infrared spectrometer, first flown to a comet since comet 1P/Halley. This instrument will collect spectra of the nucleus and coma before, during and after impact. In order to interpret the coma spectra, we have developed a spectral model, based on Crovisier and Encrenaz (1983, A&A 126, 170-182), which takes into account the emission lines of more than 14 molecules in the range 1.0-4.8 micron, the dust and nucleus continuum, and the instrument characteristics. We present here the model, its graphical interface, and some predictions for the encounter with comet 9P/Tempel 1.
