[157.04] Mass and Light in Galaxy Clusters

Detailed studies of galaxy clusters are used to test a variety of scenarios, from galaxy evolution to dark matter halo structure. However, most studies are confined to very massive systems. To overcome this issue, we have undertaken a spectroscopic follow-up survey to the highly successful Red-sequence Cluster Survey (RCS). For this survey about forty RCS clusters were selected, at low to moderate redshift and in a wide range of cluster mass, for multi-object spectroscopy with CFH-MOS and the LDSS2 on Magellan. Over 8000 spectra were obtained, yielding redshifts for roughly 1750 cluster members. I will present some first results of this follow-up survey, including the dependence of cluster mass-to-light ratio on total cluster mass, and a comparison of the mass profiles of low- and high-mass clusters.
