[98.06] Effects of Stellar Evolution on the Chemistry of AFGL2591

S. D. Doty (Denison University), E. F. van Dishoeck (Leiden University), J. Tan (Princeton University)

We consider the chemical evolution of the envelope surrounding the massive star-forming region AFGL2591. In particular, we extend the previous gas-phase model of Doty et al. (2002) to include grain adsorption/desorption in a more realistic manner, and include evolution of the temperature and luminosity of the central source. While our previous results are generally verified, we find that including these effects brings the space- and time-dependent abundance profiles into even better agreement with observations.
