[50.04] Unraveling the X-Ray Background with EXIST

Using the latest Chandra and XMM survey results, we estimate the uncertainties left in models for the X-ray background, in particular in the fraction of highly obscured AGN. We discuss how an EXIST-type mission will remove these ambiguities.
