The INTErnational Gamma Ray Astrophysical Laboratory has been in orbit for two years. In this time the survey program has concentrated on the detection of weak persistent sources in the energy range 20-100 keV. The first catalogue from the high energy (>20 keV) imager on board INTEGRAL (IBIS) was published in May 2004 and presented the location of 123 sources including 28 unidentified sources characterised by soft gamma ray emission. The general properties of these unknown sources are discussed here along with more specific analysis of a small selection of objects.
