The Great Observatories Origins Deep Survey encompasses observations from X-ray energies to the ultraviolet through the mid-infrared. Through infrared-based color-selection techniques, bolstered by ground- and space-based spectroscopy, we have identified usefully-large samples of galaxies at redshifts above two. These are complementary to ultraviolet-selected Lyman-Break Galaxy samples. By using all the information available on the spectral energy distributions of these galaxies, we calculate their stellar masses; estimate their star formation rates (including the effects of dust); and by X-ray stacking, explore the possibility that there may be significant AGN activity.
