[139.07] Cloudy 96

G. J. Ferland (University of Kentucky)

I summarize recent advances in the spectral simulation code Cloudy. These mainly involve improvements in its stability, needed for the incorporation of dynamics and exact radiative transfer, and a renewed emphasis on extending the calculations into PDR and molecular regions. Dissertation talks by Nick Abel and Gargi Shaw at this meeting describe improvements in the CO chemistry network and the development of a complete representation of the hydrogen molecule. The code and its documentation are openly available at the nublado.org web site.
