We present details and preliminary results of the Wyoming Survey for Cosmological H\alpha (WySCH). The goal of WySCH is to uniformly measure H\alpha emission from galaxies at various redshifts between z = 0 and z = 1, in order to accurately determine the history and evolution of the cosmic star formation rate density during this period. This survey will cover four square degrees of blank sky in the optical and a half square degree of blank sky in the near-infrared. We report on initial results carried out at the Wyoming Infrared Observatory, covering an area of approximately one square degree at z ~0.24. This project is supported by NSF CAREER Grant 0348990.
