[166.06] Recent SMA Observations of the Hot Cores G12.89+0.49, W33A, and CepA2

We present results of SMA observations of the high mass protostellar hot cores G12.89+0.49, W33A, and CepA2 with ~2\arcsec resolution. These continuum and spectral line observations were centered on the CS(7-6) transition at 342.9 GHz (USB) and at 332.9 GHz (LSB). The 875 micron continuum data reveal bright compact cores likely associated with dust emission from the inner envelopes and/or disks. The spectroscopic data reveal a rich molecular spectrum with 15 different chemical species identified over the 4 GHz of total bandwidth. The line ratios toward the three hot cores are quite different, possibly revealing evolutionary differences. For example, most of the lines detected toward CepA2 are significantly weaker than those detected toward the other two sources. The kinematic information obtained from the stronger lines like methanol reveal evidence for rotation of the G12.89+0.49 core (consistent with that previously suggested by Beuther et al.), and the CS(7-6) data suggest that there are multiple jet/outflows in W33A. We will also present results from recent VLA H2O maser observations toward W33A.
