For a sample of nearly 4,000 spectroscopic redshifts covering 0.3 square degrees in the Extended Groth Strip, we use 3.6 micron IRAC data from the Spitzer Space Telescope combined with DEEP2 survey redshifts and Palomar K-band photometry to construct the stellar mass function in four redshift intervals ranging from z=0.2 to z=1.5. Template SEDs from spectral synthesis models are fit to the optical-IR colors of each galaxy in the sample, constraining the stellar mass-to-light ratio and allowing an estimate of stellar mass accurate to a factor of two. We show how the IRAC data improves these mass estimates, especially for higher redshifts. The resulting galaxy stellar mass functions probe one to two orders of magnitude fainter than M* and exhibit only minor evolution with redshift to z=1.5.
