We present the result of X-ray (0.5-8 keV) and NIR (J, H, Ks bands) observations of L1448, a star-forming cloud in the Perseus complex, using Chandra X-ray Observatory and the Mayall telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory. We detected 87 X-ray sources in the 17 arc-minute square FoV with a 68 ks ACIS exposure and 294 NIR sources in the 11 arc-minute square FoV of FLAMINGOS down to Ks=17 mag. Both X-ray and NIR source catalogues are the first in this region. We discuss the nature of the X-ray sources based on their X-ray spectral and temporal characteristics in addition to the colors of their NIR counterpart. We discovered about 20 YSOs with X-ray in this region. M.T. acknowledges financial supported from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
