We report on 50cm Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) observations of seven unidentified EGRET sources. These objects have no obvious blazar or known pulsar counterpart. The imaging data, together with archival survey data, allow us to characterize the flux and spectral index of radio sources within the 3EG uncertainty regions. Several candidate blazars are seen, but in general the sources do not contain blazars bright enough to be associated with the gamma-ray emission. We also report on searches for candidate pulse emission. The GMRT is proving to be a powerful instrument for the survey of gamma-ray source counterparts, and future pulsar searches should prove very productive.
