We present the results of filter studies for the supernova segment of the SNAP mission (SuperNova/Acceleration Probe). Supernovae Ia are not a perfectly homogeneous set, but clever filter design can help minimise the effect of any small intrinsic differences between supernovae. We show how the choice of filter shape and spacing affects the random and systematic error of supernova Ia measurements through K-correction, colour calculations and extinction correction.
