[82.03] Integral-Field Spectroscopy of New Strong Gravitational Lenses

A. S. Bolton (MIT)

I will present results from a campaign to confirm and study new strong gravitational lenses using the integral-field units (IFUs) of Magellan-IMACS and Gemini GMOS-N, targeting lens-candidate systems discovered spectroscopically within the Sloan Digital Sky Survey database. I will describe the candidate selection process, IFU data calibration and reduction methods, and results on the radial density profile in the central few kiloparsecs of massive elliptical galaxies. I will also briefly describe a new HST Snapshot program, the Sloan Lens ACS (SLACS) Survey.
