[52.10] Abundances of Extremely Metal-Poor Star Candidates

We present the results of abundance analysis based on moderate spectral resolution data using ESI at the Keck Observatory of 120 candidate extremely metal poor stars. 22 of these objects proved to have [Fe/H]<-2.5. In addition to Fe, we obtained abundances for Mg, Ca, Ti, Cr, and Ba. Because of its high throughput, ESI has proven a very efficient insturment for obtaining metallicities of faint objects, V > 14. Additional analysis of the most metal-poor stars stars in the sample, based on Keck HIRES spectra will also be presented.

The data presented herein were obtained at the W.M.
