R.O. Gray (Appalachian State University)
The Dark Sky Observatory (DSO) of Appalachian State University is situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northwestern North Carolina. Over the past nine years, three spectrographs have been designed and constructed for the 32" telescope, including a classification-resolution spectrograph, a faint-object grism spectrograph and a high-resolution cross-dispersed Ebert spectrograph. The designs of these three spectrographs will be briefly discussed and the spectroscopic observational programs carried out at DSO briefly reviewed.
