[5.03] Astronomy for the Pre-College Classroom: An Exhibit on Dark Matter

S.K. Schultz (University Of South Carolina), M.W. Craig (Minnesota State University Moorhead)

We will be presenting samples of text panels and schematics of hands-on pieces developed for a small museum exhibit on dark matter designed for classroom use. These materials were developed in a collaboration of undergraduate students, middle and high school teachers, physics faculty and science museum staff.

The materials are free for use by others, and the full set of materials including topics on Probability and Optics can be found at the project website.

Funding for this project was provided by the National Science Foundation under Grant No. AST-0120960.
