[43.02] Chandra Observations of X-ray Tails Behind Pulsars

Thanks to the superb spatial resolution of Chandra, recent observations of several young pulsars (e.g., J1509--5850, J1809--1917, Geminga) have shown intriguing short (3''--10'') ``tails'' behind them. We will present the results of Chandra observations of these objects and discuss possible interpretations and the origin of the tails, including magnetospehric jets, confined wakes, and bow-shock surfaces.
