We present high resolution 12CO, 13CO, and C18O J=2-1 observations of the nearby galaxies NGC 2903 and NGC 3627 taken with the Submillimeter Array. Both these galaxies have been observed as part of the BIMA SONG survey. Our 2.5'' resolution observations of the warm, optically thin gas in the nuclei of these barred galaxies exhibit structure and dynamics not visible in the lower resolution CO J=1-0 SONG data. We discuss the effects of the molecular gas physical conditions on the nuclear structure and activity in these galaxies. These data highlight the need to study the warm ISM at high resolution when trying to understand gas inflow in barred galaxies.
