[33.10] Aerosol optical properties and optical depths derived from OMEGA-MEX Emission Phase Function observations

The OMEGA spectrometer onboard Mars Express is mapping diffused solar light and surface emission in the spectral range from 0.38 to 5.1 \mum . One of its modes of observation (besides limb and nadir) is the Emission Phase Function sequence. OMEGA is pointing at the same area on the surface of Mars for an extended time while the spacecraft passes above it. This provides measurements of reflectance with a wide coverage of both emission and phase angles. We report aerosol optical depths and optical properties at visible and infrared wavelenghts derived using a multiple scattering radiative transfer model which considers both surface reflectance and aerosol scattering.
