[15.03] 21 Lutetia spectral modeling of near-IR region

M. Birlan (IMCCE, Observatoire de Paris), P. Vernazza, M.A. Barucci, M. Fulchignoni (LESIA, Observatoire de Paris)

21 Lutetia is one of the asteroid targets of Rosetta, the European Cornerstone mission for planetology. The close approach with the asteroids is scheduled for 10th of July 2010. The monitoring of 21 Lutetia started two years ago, just after Rosetta's launch. Near-Ir spectroscopy observations were carried out by means of IRTF/SpeX in the range 0.8-3.5 microns. The paper presents results of two observation campaigns of March 2003 and August 2004 together with the models of spectra . We compared our results with the literature and we interpret them qualitatively.
