[63.41] Far-Infrared Spectral Energy Distributions of ULIRGs in the SWIRE Survey

D.L. Shupe (SSC/IPAC), C.J. Lonsdale (IPAC/UCSD), M. Polletta (UCSD), G. Lagache (IAS), SWIRE Team

We present far-infrared spectral energy distributions of high-redshift Ultraluminous Infrared Galaxies (ULIRGs) uncovered by the Spitzer Wide-Area Infrared Extragalactic (SWIRE) survey. The large volume of the SWIRE survey provides unparalleled sensitivity for the detection of these rare objects. Many ULIRG candidates found using the mid-infrared Spitzer bands are too faint to be detected individually in the 70 micron and 160 micron SWIRE data. We present the results of coadding data to investigate the mean far-infrared properties of these systems by redshift and SED shape.

Support for this work, part of the Spitzer Space Telescope Legacy Science Program, was provided by NASA through an award issued by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, under NASA contract 1407.
