[156.03] Authentic Student Investigations Using Real Data

K. Lestition (Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics), P. Plait (Sonoma State University E/PO)

These two sessions will describe the use of satellite data for activities that can be used in the classroom, or for enrichment, science fair projects or other outreach programs. Lestition will discuss the on-line Chandra Education Data Analysis Software and accompanying activities that access public data from the Chandra archive. Plait will discuss how students can use real data from the Swift mission.
