[63.34] VVDS-SWIRE: 3780 galaxies with redshifts 0.1 to 3

O. Le Fevre (Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille), C.J. Lonsdale (IPAC - Caltech), S. Arnouts (Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille), M. Rowan-Robinson (Imperial College), V. Le Brun (Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Marseille), S.J. Olivier (University of Sussex), O. Ilbert (Bologna University), M.C. Polletta (University of California, San Diego), VVDS Collaboration, SWIRE Team

The VVDS (Virmos-VLT Deep Survey)-DEEP has obtained the spectroscopy of 9858 objects up to an unprecedented depth (IAB = 24) in the 1 square degree 0226-0430 field. Deep UBGVRIZ photometry (either from VVDS or the CFHT Legacy Survey) over the whole field and J&K photometry over a smaller area is available.

The SWIRE-XMM field at the same coordinates has been observed down to ~5 microJy (5 sigma) at 3.6 and 4.5 microns and ~ 40 microJy at 5.8 and 8.0 microns, as well at MIPS 24 microns observations down to ~ 250 microJy. The common photometric area between VVDS and SWIRE area contains 52118 objects of which 4011 have been observed in spectroscopy, 3780 of them having a redshift between 0.1 and 3. This poster presents the overall multi-color and redshift distribution properties of this unique sample, as well as the first photometric redshifts using all photometry available.
