Previous surveys for water maser activity associated with star formation in H~II regions have had relatively low sensitivity, small angular coverage, or both. We present the results of an extensive search for water maser emission associated with young stellar objects in two H~II regions --- M16 and NGC~2175 --- conducted with the NRAO Very Large Array in August and September 2004. We report the detection of several previously unreported water masers in both H~II regions. The observed spatial distribution of the new masers lends further support to the youngest stages of star formation occurring in close proximity to the H~II region-molecular cloud interface. We present the positions and spectra of the newly discovered masers in M16 and NGC~2175 and discuss the local environments of the young stellar objects.
