The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Dickinson College has long been a leader in curricular innovation in physics education. When its new home, the Tome Scientific Building, was designed and built it included new facilities for astronomy education and student/faculty research: a ``workshop-style" laboratory, a new Spitz System 1024 planetarium, and a 24-inch DFM Engineering Ritchey-Chr'etien telescope. These facilities have fostered innovations in the Department's astrophysics curriculum and have influenced the student culture. We will review the interaction between facilities, building design, curriculum, and student culture.
