[141.02] A Multiwavelength Study of Four Active Galaxies

L.M. Hachmeister (Valdosta State University), E.N. Voyer (Villanova University), K.S. Rumstay (Valdosta State University)

We present light curves spanning the period September 2001 to July 2005 for the active galaxies 3C-390.3, Akn 120, Mrk 509, and NGC 5548. These objects were observed in the B, V, R, and I Johnson/Cousins bands with the 0.9m telescope at Kitt Peak operated by the Southeastern Association for Research in Astronomy (SARA). These objects are subjects of a long-term reverberation mapping program to determine geometries of their broad-line regions, and were selected on the basis of previous evidence of short term variability.

This study was conducted in association with the SARA 2005 Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program, supported by the National Science Foundation grant AST-0097616.
