Written records for almost 1000 meteorite falls have been analyzed for seasonal trends. For latitudes between 40N and 60N, most meteorites fall during the spring with a peak rate in May; however, for the latitude range 40N to 40S, the highest rates occur during September and October. Meteorite fall rates for the second half of the year divided by rates for the first half of the year are: 0.79, 0.93, 1.07, 1.12 and 1.91 for respective latitude ranges of 40N-60N, 20N-40N, 0N-20N, 0S-20S and 20S-40S. It is concluded that meteorite falls are more likely to occur during the second half of the year for all areas between 40N and 40S.
