[64.04] Supernova Remnants, Superbubbles, and Galactic Sub-Structure

Supernova and OB associations heat up large volumes, erode molecular clouds, disseminate metals, and trigger star formation. In aggregate, these effects have enormously important potential ramifications for the structure of the Galaxy. I will discuss the potential ramifications, some canonical questions,and recent progress.
