[64.05] High-Velocity Cloud Impacts

Some of the larger supershells observed in the Milky Way and other galaxies may have their origin in collisions of high-velocity clouds with gaseous disks. Cases where such a collision might have occurred will be reviewed, along with recent work on modeling such events.
