26W20 is a radio galaxy belonging to an outlying sub-cluster of Abell~754. The host is an apparently normal elliptical for which no emission lines have been detected in spite of the presence of a bright nuclear X-ray source. We report the results of a VLBA observation at 1667 MHz designed to search for significant curvature of the inner jet. We had hypothesized beamed X-ray emission from the core to explain the absence of emission line regions and therefore expected a curved inner jet (i.e., from the line of sight to the plane of the sky). With a 15\times6~mas beam, we find an unresolved core of 30 mJy and a single, flared `jet' about 100 pc long and with a position angle differing from that of the kpc scale jet by \approx~30\circ. With no signs of a counterjet nor any large scale emission on the side opposite the large scale jet and lobe, 26W20 appears to be a truly one-sided source.
