[46.06] Preliminary Analysis of SZ Measurements with the Viper Telescope

C.M. Cantalupo, A.K. Romer, G.S. Griffin, J.B. Peterson, M.G. Newcomb (CMU)

The Viper telescope offers a unique opportunity to observe the Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) effect in low redshift clusters. Viper will study the SZ effect of 14 clusters during the 1999 antarctic observing season. A reasonable estimate of the Hubble parameter (H0) will be obtained from these observations. We will present a derivation of the expected error on the value of H0 that will be obtained. This will be done via simulations of the Viper SZ data combined with realizations of the background CMB fluctuations.
