[119.04] SIRTF Legacy Science: Use of Ancillary Data

G. Helou (SIRTF Science Center, Caltech), SSC Team

Given the nature of the Legacy Science Program, it is anticipated that data from facilities other than SIRTF might contribute significantly to the expected science return from specific Legacy Science projects. To this effect, the Call for Legacy Science Proposals will include guidelines as to the role that the availability and mode of distribution of such "ancillary data" will play in the evaluation of proposals. The selection process will be likely to favor investigator-developed plans that maximize the broad scientific utility of both the SIRTF Legacy Science data and the ancillary data.

SIRTF is managed for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of the California Institute of Technology.
