[119.03] SIRTF Legacy Science: What and When

B.T. Soifer (Caltech), SSC Team

The SIRTF Legacy Science program is an innovative use of a major fraction of the first year of the SIRTF Observatory. The Legacy Science program will be selected based on proposals submitted in response to a dedicated Call for Legacy Science proposals that will be released in the middle of this year. This program will enable science that would not otherwise result from the sum of General Observer programs. I will discuss the groundrules of the Legacy Science program, the schedule for that proposal cycle, and other activities associated with the program.

SIRTF is managed by JPL, California Institute of Technology, under contract with NASA.
