[53.06] A Near-IR Search for Variable Sources in M33

J.E. Lyke, R.D. Gehrz, C.G. Mason, M. Schuster, R.M. Humphreys (U. of Minnesota)

We present multi-epoch, near-infrared observations of the central regions of M33 using the University of Minnesota's 1-5 micron camera, MINNEcam. This observing program searches for temporal changes in LBV's and other luminous post-main sequence stars, and possible transient events such as novae. This program is a prelude to possible observations with SIRTF.

J.E.L. was supported by NASA-SIRTF.
