We present wide-field precision BVRI CCD photometry of the fairly rich open cluster NGC 1817, taken at the KPNO 0.9-meter telescope. This has been previously identified as a Hyades-age cluster. Previous data include photoelectric measurements of several stars, and some photographic measurements; our CCD data go much deeper. Our data have been analyzed using DAOPHOT's point-spread-function fitting techniques. The cluster reddening, distance, and age, are discussed.
